Roof: The roof systems at the Forward Training Center have exceeded their expected service life and are in need of attention. The foam roof on the 1935 building should be prioritized for replacement as soon as funding becomes available. The 1948 asphalt shingle roof is also past its life expectancy and has visible damage, including missing shingles that should be repaired in the interim. Until full replacements can be completed, it’s recommended that all roof areas be inspected at least semi-annually and after any significant weather events to help prevent further deterioration and costly damage.

HVAC: The Forward Training facility currently operates with six HVAC units. Of these, four have exceeded their expected service life, and the remaining two are projected to reach the end of their useful life by 2028. To ensure continued reliability and energy efficiency, it is recommended to replace the units and system components that have surpassed their life expectancy. Additionally, planning for the replacement of the remaining units in the near future will help maintain optimal performance and avoid unexpected system failures.
