Facility Scorecard
Executive Summary
The Transportation facilities were originally constructed in 1977, with two portable buildings added in 2000 and 2001. Overall, the facilities are in fair to poor condition. The roofs have exceeded their service life and should be replaced. Most HVAC systems are either past their expected lifespan or will reach it by 2029. Additionally, the shop space for mechanics is undersized given the number and size of buses operated by the district. The two portable buildings currently in use also require maintenance across multiple building components. It would be beneficial to consider constructing a new facility designed to house all transportation department staff, equipment, storage, and shop space to meet departmental requirements. This would improve efficiency and better support the services provided.
