Maintenance
Executive Summary
Built in 1990 the Maintenance Facility houses the maintenance, transportation and general district storage. Overall, the facility is in fair to poor condition and needs repairs and replacement of some of the interior and exterior systems. Exterior metal panels have deteriorated in areas and should be replaced. Gutters and downspouts should be evaluated and replaced to ensure that water is directed away from the facility. The plumbing, electrical and roof systems are all original to the facility and have aged past their useful life cycles and further evaluation is recommended for replacement options. The interior of the facility lacks adequate space for the transportation department to work on bus repairs, and the district should consider adding additional interior space to the facility for this purpose. The parking lot where the buses are stored should be paved and an awning should be installed to park the buses under. Finishes and fixtures have deteriorated inside and should be repaired or replaced. With adequate maintenance and repairs, as well as some strategic updates, this facility should continue to serve the district as a support space.
