Facility Scorecard
Executive Summary
The Technology Building placed into commission in 1981 is in fair condition. The facility needs updating, maintenance and repairs of various components. The standing seam, metal roof system is near its useful life expectancy and has received hail damage. There is evidence of leaks to the interior ceiling tiles. It is recommended that a licensed roofing company perform a thorough inspection to determine the need for replacement. In addition, repairs are needed to attached awning and gutter system. The exterior, metal panel envelope has extensive damage to most panels which should be sealed and painted, or replaced. Some corrosion exists at the base of the south wall. Recommend inspection with repair or replacement of mechanical systems at or past their expected useful life. On the interior, update restrooms, flooring, replace water fountain and refresh finished surfaces, and maintaining required clearances for ADA compliance are needed. District should review and consider Safety & Security Recommendations on the Facility Details page. With updates, renovations, and proper maintenance this facility could continue to serve the district for an additional 15-20 years.
