High School-Ag Barns

Facility Scorecard
Executive Summary
Seagraves ISD’s Ag Farm was built in various eras over the past 60 years. Located on 5-acre site consisting of four enclosed animal barns and one covered area currently being used for bovine, one covered area used for trailer storage and one storage building. The animal barns structures are metal frame with metal panel exterior. There appears to be several leaks, or roof damage in Barn 2 & 3 that need repair or replacement. The walls have areas of oxidation along the bottom where vegetation or other materials have been allowed to remain adjacent to the panel. Panels should be repaired or replaced as needed depending on the panel’s structural integrity. ADA access should be provided to and inside the facility. Overall, the facility is in fair condition but need updating and repairs. Consideration should be given to installing hard surface paving for parking, including ADA-compliant parking with proper signage along. District should review and consider Safety & Security Recommendations on the Facility Details page. In all, the facility provides shelter for animals in an educational environment that is conducive to learning. With updates, additions, renovations, and proper maintenance this campus should continue to serve the district for an additional 25-30 years.
