Facility Scorecard
Executive Summary
Jackson Elementary School started as a primary and secondary campus in 1960 with an addition in 2008. The Jackson Elementary School facility is in good condition overall but needs maintenance and repair of various building components. The roofing system is 12 years old and needs maintenance with some repair to extend its useful life. Consideration should be given to expanding the kitchen and replacing 5 HVAC units past their useful life. District should review and consider Safety and Security Recommendations. In addition, consolidating and rebuilding the electrical service along with updating service panels and circuits should be considered. All interior door hardware should be updated to ADA compliant hardware. In all, the interior of the facility is in good condition and provides a well-maintained educational environment that is conducive to learning. With adequate maintenance, the campus should continue to serve the district for an additional 25-30 years.
