Executive Summary

The Lyford CISD Athletic facilities and fields are in fair to poor condition and located at opposite ends of the district. Students must cross the district campus to access various fields and facilities throughout the day. Many of the structures are in fair condition, but interior finishes and systems are in poor condition, lacking ADA compliant access, and need to be replaced. In addition, security features should be addressed, including security fencing and site lighting. The competition stadium track and field are in poor condition and need to be replaced, but the drainage issues should be addressed before any work is completed. With the age of the buildings, location, and the needed maintenance and repair work, the district should consider the cost to repair in light of the cost to replace. Location of facilities and fields should also be considered before upgrades are made.
