Facility Scorecard
Executive Summary
The Gym at Breckenridge ISD’s North Elementary School campus was built in 2008. The North Elementary School campus is 3.91 acres in size with four permanent structures consisting of the East Wing (Cafeteria & Classrooms) built in 1959, the Middle Wing (Classrooms) 1959, the West Wing (office & Classrooms) 1982, and the Gym built in 2008. At the time of the site visit the North Campus was not occupied by students and was predominantly storage. The Gym is steel frame metal panel wall and roof structure with only heat in the main area. The facility is in fair condition overall although there was oxidation observed along the bottom of several exterior wall panels. The area around the gym should be re-graded to promote storm water drainage away from the structure. Minor maintenance is needed on the internal and external finishes surfaces along with the roofing. In addition, the district should review and consider Safety & Security recommendations on the Facility Details page. In all, this facility could serve the district as a gym or storage. or with minor renovations the facility could become maintenance or bus shop. With updates, maintenance, and repairs this facility could continue to serve the district for an additional 25 years.
