Executive Summary

Breckenridge ISD’s Ag Farm was built in 2004 on an 8.84-acre site consisting of two mostly enclosed animal barns and one covered area currently being used for bovine. The animal barns structures are metal frame and metal panel exterior. Fiberglass panels or skylights appear to be damaged and need repair or replacement. The walls have areas of oxidation along the bottom where vegetation of other materials have been allowed to remain adjacent to the panel. Panels should be repaired or replaced as needed depending on the panel’s structural integrity. ADA access should be provided to and inside the facility. Overall, the facility is in fair condition needing updating and repairs. Consideration should be given to installing hard surface paving for parking including ADA compliant parking with proper signage along with adequate secure storage. District should review and consider Safety & Security Recommendations on the Facility Details page. In all, the facility provides shelter for animals in an educational environment that is conducive to learning. With updates, additions, renovations, and proper maintenance this campus should continue to serve the district for an additional 25-30 years.
