Facility Scorecard
Executive Summary
Breckenridge High School was built in 1967 with an addition in 1998. This facility is located on Main Campus along with the Junior High School built in 1969, the Cafeteria 1956, Practice Gym, Vocational, and Band Hall 1957, Cook Gym 1969, VOE Classrooms 1978, Ag Shop and Classrooms 1985, the Buckeroo Stadium, Auditorium 1988, and the Athletic and Arts Facility in 2008. The Main campus is 10.76 acres in size. The original High School building is in good to fair condition. There has been progress made toward ADA compliance but there are still renovations needed to bring the facility into full compliance. Stopping the storm water from draining under the facility is important to maintaining the foundation. Re-sealing the building envelope, repairing and re-sealing exterior walls is very important to maintaining the interior structure and indoor air quality. The HVAC systems are mostly up to date with respect to the age of equipment although high CO2 levels observed warrants further investigative action and correction. Additionally, library is undersized when campus is at full functional capacity and administrative offices are poorly arranged. Finished surfaces and door hardware need to be updated and refreshed along with updating technology. District should review and consider Safety & Security Recommendations on the Facility Details page. In all, the interior of the facility provides an educational environment that is conducive to learning. With updates, renovations, and proper maintenance this facility could continue to serve the district for an additional 25-30 years.
