Originally built in 1960 with various additions over the years, the Elysian Fields High School Main building is in fair to good condition. Maintenance and upgrade projects are needed for Security upgrades, finish upgrades, accessibility upgrades, HVAC replacements, roof maintenance and renovations to the small auditorium, gym locker rooms, and additions to the cafeteria, culinary arts, floral and library spaces. With a utilization of only 38%, renovation and repurposing of existing spaces seem a viable option. Relocation of the Maintenance and Transportation departments away from the campus is also recommended. Removal of the portable classroom building, the Maintenance and Weight Room metal structures and Transportation facility is also recommended. With these, other listed projects, and continued maintenance, this facility could serve the district for another 20 years.
