Executive Summary

The Technology, Cafeteria, Weight Room, and Patterson buildings constructed in 1936, 1968, 1905, and 1985 are in fair to poor condition and are in need of maintenance and repair of multiple building components. Consideration should be given to moving out of these buildings. The items in storage should be removed, inventoried, and excess items should be disposed of. Roofs are in fair to poor condition and exceed useful life expectancy. Ceilings, walls, and floors all showed evidence of previous water intrusion and finishes should be refinished or replaced as needed. HVAC system components past useful life expectancy should be considered for replacement. Damage to the wooden subflooring was observed and should be closely inspected and repaired. Building mechanical systems 30 years of age or older should be closely inspected and repaired. Interior lighting should be updated. Safety and security enhancements should be considered. Updates to meet ADA compliance are needed. The Weight Room should be relocated to another building to protect the immaculate stained glass. In all, the interior of the facility is in poor condition. With substantial and adequate maintenance, the facilities should continue to serve the district for an additional 25 years.
