Bland ISD - High School Main, Gym, and Vocational

Executive Summary

Bland ISD High School campus composed of the main building (1998), gym (1995), and vocational building (2000) facilities are in good to fair condition and are in need of maintenance and repair of various building components. The roof should be inspected and repaired due to age and possible roof leaks. HVAC systems past the end of useful life expectancy should be replaced. Building mechanical systems 30 years of age or older should be closely inspected and considered for replacement. Refreshing the interior of the facility is needed. Addressing the drainage around the building to move water away from the buildings are needed. Constructing a permanent facility to house the classrooms located in portable buildings is recommended. In addition, safety and security enhancements should be considered. In all, the interior of the facility is in good to fair condition and provides an educational environment that is conducive to learning. With adequate maintenance, the campus should continue to serve the district for an additional 25-30 years.
