Executive Summary

Built in 1957, the La Pryor Elementary Administration and 400 Building facilities are in fair to good condition but are in need of maintenance and repair of various building components. The Administration building was renovated around 2002, while the 400 building appears not to have any remodeling since then. The administration is generally in good condition although a general refresh of interior finishes are needed, a majority of the work needed is in the 400 building. The building mechanical systems should be thoroughly inspected and repaired or replaced per report. Improvements to the educational environment such as updating lighting to LED fixtures and replacing HVAC system components beyond useful life expectancy are recommended. In addition, safety and security updates should be considered. In all, the interior of the facility is in fair to good condition and provides a well-maintained educational environment that is conducive to learning. With adequate maintenance, the campus should continue to serve the district for an additional 25-30 years. The 400 Building that houses SPED is in poor condition. With the high Facility Condition Index, the district should consider replacing this facility with a new building vs. renovating the current facilities.
